Garreth Farrell Masters of Manip therapy, BSc (hons), MISCP


Garreth qualified from Brighton University in 1997 with an award for clinical excellence. He consolidated his skills while working in the National Health Service in the UK for a number of years. He conducted courses for staff and students at Sussex University UK and treated a wide array of sports injuries onsite at the university.

He has worked onsite at Intel Lexlip and has been the Physiotherapist for the Ford Motor company at their plant in Liverpool.

He has also worked in Private practice in Sydney Australia treating rugby, AFl and running sports related injuries. He worked as part of a Medical team with the Aboriginal community in Alice Springs.

In 2004 Garreth was awarded a distinction for his Masters in Manipulation therapy at Curtin University in Western Australia. His research on spinal posture has been published in the Spine medical journal.

His research has also been presented at Physiotherapy conferences both nationally and internationally.

In 2005 Garreth returned to Ireland and Established the Physio Dynamics Clinic in the Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin.

Garreth is the Physiotherapist for the Leinster Rugby Team.

Avril Barrett MSc neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy, MISCP, MCSP


Avril qualified from University College Dublin, after which she went on to develop her skills in private practices in Ireland, the UK and Australia.

Part of her career has been in a sports based clinic in London, with the Wimbledon Tennis Championship physiotherapist. During her time there she worked with a variety of elite sports people ranging from runners, cyclists and triathletes.

Avril's most recent clinic was also established in central London where she developed her keen interest in rehabilitation of clients. The clinic had a fully equipped pilates studio, where Avril ran rehabilitation classes and taught pilates to clients to compliment their full recovery from injury. Avril also had the opportunity to work alongside an ergonomic physiotherapist assessing clients at their place of work.

During Avril's time in London she was the physio for a London based rugby team, Old Cranleigh and the Fulham Irish gaelic football team for over two years. She is currently part of the physiotherapy team for Landsdowne RFC.

Avril also completed her Masters in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy at the University College of London, where she obtained the prize for the highest clinical results at the end of her master's year. She has also carried out research into the cortical control of the muscles of the scapula (shoulder blade).

Avril has an excellent raport with her clients allowing them to be comfortable while diagnosing and resolving any injuries they may have.

Sarah Brady Bsc (Physio), Chartered Physiotherapist


Sarah completed her Physiotherapy degree in University College Dublin where she graduated 4th in her class. After this Sarah left Ireland to develop her skills in New Zealand. Here she gained experience in private practice treating a wide range of conditions including sports injuries, arthritic joints, repetitive strain injuries, orthopaedic conditions and neck and back pain.

While working in New Zealand Sarah developed a special interest in rehabilitation and work hardening. She assumed responsibility for running the clinic’s 6 and 12 week Activity-Based Programmes. This involved setting individual goals for each client and implementing a personalised gym and pool based programme to ensure these goals were met. She gained a great satisfaction from assisting clients’ return to work or sport.

Sarah conducted research into Physiotherapists’ experiences of working during pregnancy. This was published in Physiotherapy Ireland. She has a keen interest in Pilates and trained with Dance Medicine Australia while in New Zealand. She uses this training in her daily work in the clinic and also for teaching classes.

Sarah was team Physiotherapist for St Vincent’s senior football team in 2007 when they won the Leinster club championship. They went on to win the All-Ireland club championship later that season. She also worked with Pirongia rugby club in New Zealand where she enjoyed rehabilitating players from on-pitch assessment at the time of injury to their return to sport. She is currently part of the physiotherapy team for Landsdowne RFC.

Sarah also enjoys taking part in sport. She is an orange belt in kickboxing and enjoys swimming and running.

Dan Horan MSc(pre-reg), MSc (ExSc), MISCP, CSCS


Dan qualified from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh and has worked for several years in private practices in Dublin. During this time he has also worked part-time with Bray Wanderers Football Club and with various international teams with the FAI. He is also a carded Physiotherapist with the Irish Institute of Sport enabling him to treat Irish international class athletes.

Prior to qualifying as a Physiotherapist, Dan completed an MSc in Exercise and Health Science in Bristol University. His dissertation, which explored the experience of injury during pre-season training in professional soccer, was published in the Journal of Sports Science. Dan spent 3 years working as a personal trainer/strength and conditioning coach in London during which time he qualified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist through the London School of Sports Massage.

Dan has worked in some excellent manual therapy and sports injury clinics and keeps up to date with developments in physiotherapy care through attending numerous workshops throughout the year. He lectures part-time for Litton Lane on their Personal Training courses.

Dan is a keen athlete having played soccer in the League of Ireland for UCD and Bray Wanderers. He also spent a season in the US on a scholarship in Boston College.
